Introduction:
Nepal Development Initiative (NEDI) NEDI is registered with the government of Nepal as a nonprofit and non-political development organization in 2003. The organization coordinating to research, policy advocacy and development programmes focusing on sustainable agriculture, climate change, livelihood development and youth empowerment. NEDI aims community development through income generating and micro enterprise activities and working to encourage to be independent, self-sustained, respectful livelihood and to uplift the Nepali society form vicious poverty. Since its inception, NEDI has been both a pioneer and practitioner of the holistic approach of empowerment and is making significant contribution on the reduction of poverty in Nepal.

- To promote the sustainable agriculture by identifying issues and opportunities on family farming and developing capacity of farmers towards scientific, professional and youth-friendly farming.
- To contribute on sustainable livelihood of marginalized community by strengthening and encouraging on micro–enterprise and income generating activities.
- Sensitize and increase the understanding to community people on the effect of climate change and suggest appropriate alternative for mitigation and adaptation.
- Increase the individual and institutional skill and capacity by mobilizing experts and volunteers.
